Welcome to NeuroMara (“NeuroMara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
NeuroMara is an online space designed for neurodivergent adults and allies to connect, share interests, and discover neurodivergent-supportive businesses.
By accessing or using this website or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these
Terms of Use & Safety Policy (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
Important: NeuroMara is not a healthcare provider, mental health service, emergency service, or legal advisor.
Nothing on NeuroMara is medical, psychological, or legal advice, and it should not replace professional support.
1. Eligibility – Adults 18+ Only
NeuroMara is intended solely for adults. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least eighteen (18) years old;
- You are legally permitted to use online connection platforms under the laws of your jurisdiction; and
- You have the authority to enter into and be bound by these Terms.
We do not knowingly permit minors to use NeuroMara. If you become aware of anyone under 18 using the Services,
please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
2. What NeuroMara Is (and Is Not)
NeuroMara is intended to be:
- A place for neurodivergent adults and allies to connect for friendship, community, and (if mutually chosen) romance;
- A directory for neurodivergent-supportive businesses, services, and products added by users; and
- A place to share information about interests, experiences, and supports in a respectful manner.
NeuroMara is not:
- Medical, psychological, or therapeutic care;
- Crisis, emergency, or suicide-prevention support;
- Legal, financial, or professional advice; or
- A guarantee of any specific outcome, connection, friendship, or relationship.
If you are in crisis, thinking about self-harm, or feel unsafe, do not use NeuroMara as a primary resource.
Instead, contact local emergency services or a trusted crisis hotline in your country.
3. Accounts, Aliases, and Security
3.1. Aliases Only; Protecting Your Identity
NeuroMara is designed to prioritize privacy and safety. We encourage and strongly prefer that you use an
alias or nickname instead of your real name. Do not use your full legal name as your public alias.
For your safety, you should not share:
- Your home address or exact location (street number, apartment number, etc.);
- Your workplace’s exact address (unless intentionally posting as a business using the “Add Business” feature);
- Personal identification numbers or documents;
- Banking or financial account details; or
- Passwords or verification codes.
3.2. Account Creation
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your age (you must be 18+);
- Maintain an up-to-date email address you can access; and
- Choose a strong password and keep it confidential.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised,
you should update your password and, if possible, notify us.
3.3. One Account Per Person (Reasonable Use)
You agree not to create multiple accounts for dishonest purposes, harassment, evasion of moderation, fraud, or any other prohibited behavior.
4. User Conduct & Prohibited Behavior

5. Content You Post (“User Content”)
“User Content” means any text, images, photos, business listings, messages, posts, or other materials you submit, upload, or share through the Services.
5.1. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. By posting or sharing content, you confirm that:
- You have the necessary rights to share it (or permission from its owner);
- Your content is lawful where you live and where we operate; and
- Your content complies with these Terms and our safety standards.

NeuroMara does not independently verify or endorse businesses listed by users, and is not responsible for outcomes between users and any listed businesses.
6. Safety Guidelines for In-Person and Online Interaction
NeuroMara cannot control how users behave off the platform. You are responsible for your own judgment and boundaries.
To support safer interactions, we strongly recommend:
- Use an alias rather than your real name on your public profile;
- Do not share your exact home address or highly specific location details with people you do not fully trust;
- If you decide to meet someone in person:
- Meet in a public place;
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and who you are meeting;
- Arrange your own transportation if possible; and
- Leave or end the interaction if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
- Be cautious about sharing financial or deeply personal information;
- Block or disengage from anyone who pressures you, disrespects your boundaries, or triggers safety concerns.

- Remove, edit, or limit visibility of content that we believe violates these Terms or harms the community;
- Restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts involved in serious or repeated violations;
- Contact law enforcement or relevant authorities when we reasonably believe there is a risk of serious harm or illegal activity; and
- Apply technical or policy-based measures to protect users and the integrity of the platform.
Because NeuroMara is an evolving project, some moderation features may be limited or in development. We encourage users to also use their own judgment and external resources for safety.
8. Privacy and Data
NeuroMara currently stores limited information such as email address, alias, profile details, and messages in order to operate the Services.
As the platform grows, storage and processing methods may change (for example, moving from browser-only storage to secure servers).
We aim to handle user data carefully and with respect. A more detailed Privacy Policy may be provided separately.
Regardless, you acknowledge that:
- No online system is perfectly secure;
- You should avoid sharing highly sensitive data on your profile or in messages; and
- We may disclose information if legally required or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect someone’s safety, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeuroMara disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose;
- Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; and
- Warranties regarding accuracy or reliability of any content or matches.
We do not guarantee any specific outcome, connection, friendship, romance, business relationship, or therapeutic benefit from using NeuroMara.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeuroMara and its owners, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use (or inability to use) the Services;
- Any interactions, meetings, or relationships with other users; or
- Any content or actions of third parties, including businesses listed on the platform.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, it will be limited to the amount you have paid to NeuroMara for the Services (if any) in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or a minimal amount permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NeuroMara, its owners, and affiliates from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Services;
- Your User Content;

- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
12. Changes to the Services and Terms
NeuroMara is an evolving project. We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
